Card Protection Schemes

Hello,
I'm not sure if this should be on this forum or another (insurance perhaps?) but I wanted to ask a question as I couldn't find the information I'm looking for on the main site...

I have a policy with CPP (Card Protection Plan). It's £36.99 per year.
It offers to report all cards lost or stolen, cancel and order replacements, gives money if we loose keys for new locks etc, cover for unauthorised use of cards, help whilst abroad, cover if someone uses a stolen mobile, passports and driving licences, or loss of bag/wallet.

Basically is this a good scheme? Are we wasting our money?
If there is something better, would someone tell me or give me a link to the full article?
