I am currently with BT for phone, broadband and vision but am considering changing to sky. What is the process as i have never done this before.

Check if you are still in minimum term contract for any of your BT services, if so an ETC will be payable. Sign up online with Sky for the services you require. Notify BT and give them the required notice, obtain a MAC if required by Sky.
Bear in mind that without a BT broadband service you cannot use the BTV service.
Have you checked that Sky broadband is available LLU on your exchange? Otherwise you will be on the dire Sky Connect service.
