am i using my wireless connection or across the road?

We have a new live wire box set up to the main computer with help from orange support.Last night i set up the lap top and it works well. Both computers going at the same time.lol.
Tired to set up sons xbox360 live this morning but cant sort it out im now waiting for support to ring me back!
I phone orange to ask if there is any thing stoping the xbox connecting to wireless ,they said no.But when i set up wireless for the lap top i didnt press the 1&2 button behind the live box and by rights i shouldnt have internet?
I then turned off the main com and live wireless connection on the mains and the laptop lost internet so surly then it must be my wireless network thats running the laptop and not martins across the road??
Sorry about the ramberling,

If you click on the wireless connection icon at the bottom right of your screen - the one that looks like a little pc with ))) - it will show what connection you are using. If the name is the same as you used when setting up your livebox, then it's your connection.
  • the lap top has the wireless sign.
Can any tell me if the main com should be still conected with the ethernet cable? is im using wireless?
