Water Damage

A month ago i had a new Bathroom fitted , it is avnity unit with back to wall toilet and sunk in Basin .Very nice :j
I noticed about a week ago that there is water damage to the bottom plinth and door on the Basin unit  there has been no damage done to the unit since it was fitted and the plumber made a very good job so i dont feel it was him that caused any damage .
When the bathroom was delivered my husband checked it over as best as he could .There must have been airline cracks that you could not see until it started to swell .
I have been in touch with the people we had the Bathroom from and i have sent photos of the the damaged unit .
They came back to me this morning and said "it is water damage and we are not going to replace or reimburse , also you should wipe down after every use to stop water getting into the unit"!!!! ITs A BATHROOM:mad:
I am now waiting for the Address for there head office so i can write to them . she was going to send it by email , not got it yet.
I feel it is not fit for purpose and that they should replace and compensate me for refitting, any advise would be welcome .

How do you know it was well-fitted? I agree that the company's response has not been particularly helpful so far, but who's to say they're wrong and you're right? Have you asked for an inspection?"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0
