Is it necessary to request a final statement from Tesco?

My balance is just over £700 and my 0% period is due to expire.
Would it be correct to repay the balance or do I need to request a final/closing statement from them, I'd like to check if there are any charges.
I may give them a call later today, see what their customer service is like.

The account remains open, so it is meaningless to request a final statement. You can, of course, close the account. But you need to clear the balance first and in my experience CCs send a zero statement as a matter of course.
Just phone them up and ask them which day the deal runs out. Then pay the balance before that date.
If you are late, you will get interest. But the interest will start from that date, so it won't be "gotcha" interest. (As it is if in normal circumstances you don't quite pay a balance in full and interest is backdated to transaction date.)0
