energy support/benefit

does anybody know or have claimed some kind of fuel supplement in the winter. im aware there is one for pensioners and something for income support but basically im on maternity leave and i have a 5 year old and a four month old. e-on want to double our direct debit as our 15% online discount has expired and fuel charges have risen by about 40% this year alone.... im gonna really struggle to pay the £100 per MONTH! that they want...... i wondered if there was any support for people with babies as obviously they need to have more help to keep warm, at the minute im trying to keep her in mittens on really cold days but when the really cold weather hits i cant avoid using the heating =( im not receiving income support as i am still in receipt of maternity allowance for a few more weeks yet.

hope someone can suggest something cos im really worried about getting a massive bill

thanks alot

Give the Centre for Sustainable Energy a Call on 0117 934 1400 they have a project offering advice and should be able to inform you about tariffs and grants. There is also the National Energy Advice Service on 0800 512 012.
Don't thank me, thank my post :T

Are you currently in surplus, or in debt on your fuel account?
If not in debt - switch, if you can, to a cheaper provider.
