Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
I am going to buy a magic bullet off the shopping channels, they loog greta and asre available on ebay too, the nicer dicer also looks good, i used to have a vs licer but wasted loads as worreid about my fingers etc as the gurard never ever worked!
I bought one of the "Magic Bullet" machines off Ebay and I can say in all honesty they're rubbish. The blades got clogged up all the time and they never chopped anything properly, and as for the smoothies they make with frozen fruit... The blade jammed on a raspberry and blew the motor out.

I personally don't think they're worth the money, but then I've never had a scrap of bother with the guard on my v-slicer, so it's each to their own experiences I guess.

We have a V slicer.... PLEASE be careful. Always use the safety guard.

My OH had wanted one of these for ages. Picked one up at a car boot. Used it a few times and then he was being flash with it one evening without the safety guard and sliced the top part of his finger.

Needless to say, a long wait at A&E.

Only I use it now, and ALWAYS with the safety guard.

    They are brilliant

It is the V Slicer that I meant by 'cheap mandoline'........... couldn't remember it's name.

Yes, be really careful.......... I am prepared to sacrifice the ends of the veg that have been mentioned for it's speed when doing loads of veg and the safety of stopping before I incorporate my fingers to the mix!!

Would love to be able to buy one of the really expensive ones though.
