Entitlement After Redundency

Hi
As I have mentioned before I am soon to be made redundent (end of this month).
I have been trying to find work but I have had no luck yet.
It looks like I will have to sign on for JSA for the first time ever.
Was just wondering what I will get as I have never done it before.
I currently rent a room in a house that costs me £90 a week, will this be paid or will I need to find somewhere else?
A friend of mine has a small cleaning company and has said he might be able to get me a few hours work a week. Is there a maximum amount of hours I can work part time?
Anything else I should be aware of?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

How long have you worked for your employer? Do you have any idea of the redundancy package you will be receiving?DMP Mutual Support Thread member 244

There is quite a good guide HERE. As for p/t work, it is based on what you earn. If you earn £60 and your benefits are £200, then they will disregard the first £5 of earnings, then deduct the rest from your benefits, so you would only be £5 better-off.
You can work or volunteer up to 16 hours a week before you have to sign-off.Never Knowingly Understood.
