Airport Tax Refund

I booked flights for my parents with ThomsonFly, unfortunately due to health reasons they were unable to go.

I understand that I can claim the Airport Tax back from Thomson, is this correct? And if so does anyone know how I go about doing it?

if they had to cancel due to health reasons...surely they can claim back on their insurance.

and Thomsons admin fees are around £25 I think...

Hi, I had a similar problem with both Thompsonfly and Flybe. I wrote letters to both asking them to waive the admin charge and refund me the airport tax (I did not ask for flight refund as it clearly states they are non refundable). Thompson replied with a flat 'No'. Flybe replied with a 'send proof of illness adn we'll refund' which they did!

Guess which airline now receive favourable reviews from me, and which one I avoid if possible (i'm lucky I have he choice of two airports near me).
