kid friendly pizza base

Hi all,
Have my 5 yr old's friend coming for tea on Friday and have promised to make pizza with them.
I normally make proper pizza bases from scratch and use a hot pizza stone to cook, but don't want to do this with the two kids for obvious health and safety and sanity reasons!!!
I don't really like the idea of using ready made pizza bases as in my exerience they are pretty bad.
Was wondering if I could use pitta breads or flatbreads or soemthing??
Any ideas??
Thanks

French bread pizzas always go down a treat. Buy or make a baguette, cut it in half and voila, pizza baseMFW 2019 #61: £13,936.60/£20,0000

Agree wholeheartedly with mmmsnow - YUM!!!!
Or you could make the bases beforehand and let them get creative with the toppings.....everything from brown sauce to chocolate spread was put on when DD last did this with friends!0 -
Muffins work really well for this too - not blueberry ones obviously
- but those flat white ones you get in the bakery section of supermarkets. Nigella does a recipe for Naan bread pizza too but I've never tried it personally! Good luck.

I'm confused - can't you just cook them on a baking tray?0

M&S do a pack of 2 pizza bases and while I don't normally buy this sort of thing they are very good and I have some in now:D
They are much better than the cardboard ones you get in Asda and sainsbugs - I think they are about £1.70.0 -
Pitta bread pizzas are a firm fave with all of us, especially the kids. Bonus is that they are already cooked, so just get kids to have fun doing toppings, and bung under the grill. Done in 3 mins or so!Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...:D:D

Just remembered - I also occasionally make pizzas with two wraps sandwiched together with garlic and herb soft cheese. Frugal domino dominator type pizza.0

Ciabatta split in half works well too, they're a bit wider than a baguette so you can cram more yummy toppings on0

Half the fun is the kids rolling them out......we often do this with the little ones. I can't see what the issue is. Sorry.
ETA: They do the rolling and toppings; I shoo them off with some squash whilst I put the pizzas in the oven and we all join in to eat once they are done.If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
I do pitta bread pizzas all the time for my two, they are known as "easy peasy pizzas" in our house. But when DS has a friend over i sometimes do a scone dough base which is also fairly easy although takes a bit longer.0
