Hi. I posted this on the child support section but think I put it in the wrong place, so appologies for repetition!
I am originally from England but lived in Ireland with my husband up until a year ago. We moved back last Christmas and things are not working out very well. Basically I am facing a seperation and I can not seem to find out what benefits I will be entitled to. In Ireland there is a loan parent weekly payment. Is there anything like that here?
Thanks.

it depends on the age of your child. under 7 and you can claim income support and over 7 you can claim JSA ( providing you are actively seeking work)
also child tax credits for the child along with child benefit and maintenance from the childs father.0 -
Thanks.... sorry it did mean to say lone parents not loan parents!!! Yes.... I have 4 kids all under 7. Youngest is 2. Thanks for the info.0

Depending on your housing situation, possibly housing benefit or Local housing Allowance, single person's Council tax discount and possibly CT Benefit. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0

Is your husband not planning to pay any maintainance for your child?"This is a forum - not a support group. We do not "owe" anyone unconditional acceptance of their opinions."0
