Its a emachines M350 little notebook.. been priced £80 for local repair shops for possibly a new screen...... ( 10.1" screen). if it is the screen i could buy one for around £30 but is it easy to put in ect? not realy any good with laptops. any advice cheers

If you search the net, you'll be able to find a manual that shows how to strip it down. All laptop's have them available for engineer's to use. Usually easy to swap but id check the ribbon cable is fully inserted before getting a new screen.0

Have you tried using an external monitor to ensure that it is a problem with the screen? Outside it's warranty?0

Yeah i have tried a external monitor and it doesn't show the black half screen. and its outside the warranty unfortunately0

It will be inside the casing. You'd have to open it up to do that.0
