Don't forget TCB / Quidco if you go for it0 -
Even at 299 for me it is at least 289 over priced! And for a crumby second hand one as well, buy one of these and you really need your bumps read! Head over to Amazon and buy a BRAND NEW Android tablet for about 200 quid, not only are they generally much much better than the ipad they also have lots and lots of FREE apps, everything from apple involves more and more money all the time.
Crikey I remember and old saying that goes something like "foolish people dad de dah soon parted da ded da money"
Amazingly enough the people that actually KNOW something about technology generally do not own anything with a half eaten apple for a badge, we tend to leave it for people that also like designer bags and shoes.................paying for the label need I say more??

Even though you're ranting, I'm inclined to agree. :rotfl:0 -
There is a £10 code if you get it from currys too making it £289
thanks0 -
does seem they are out of stock now. managed to pick one up earlier for £289, seems a good deal.
i appreciate there are those than dislike apple and i can understand why but for those who do this does seem like a good deal, or rather did seem like a good deal.0 -

Why when somebody posts an Apple deal, rather than keeping quiet, android fanboys always have to come on with their rants.
Amazingly enough I *KNOW* about tech too and for me I find the iPad one of the best bits of kit around, yet unlike you I appreciate some people prefer apple, some android. I just don't troll android threads slating them.
Oh btw i'm wearing DeWalt work boots, do they count as designer?

It is basically down to the usual apple rip off machine, you know the "yearly update must have", they release a new version and all the sill sorry "followers" decide they must have it or their friends might laugh at them for having an old one
Hence the influx of the "old" stock and refurbs being sold for what apple and the retailers consider a "knock down" price. It is kind of clever pyramid selling where they get the cash twice generally from sill oh sorry fashion concious people
You did ask............................."You can measure a man's character by the choices he makes under pressure"Sir Winston Churchill0 -
I don't understand the difference between Ipad and other tablets - I think it is the availability of the apps (as well as the price
). Having said that, my son has severe communication difficulties and there is a suitable app available on the Ipad, called Proloquo2go. He uses it in school and we would like an Ipad for him to use at home, in Scouts, at Deaf club, etc. It seems that P2G is only available for the Ipad, so that is our only option. An Ipod isn't suitable because of his poor eyesight.
I have applied for funding from a charity for the IPad and app; they have decided that he also needs a protective case and a lanyard type thing to help prevent damage if he drops it. I can't afford an Ipad and the app (P2G is £110 ).0
