Bringing cats home

one thing you may consider getting is a water fountain.
my 2 hardly ever drank water from a bowl but then got in the habit of drinking from the toilet!!!
so i got a fountain for them and now i regularly see them lapping it up and they leave the toilet alone0 -

Its still so early to be moving their bowls and stuff. Try and keep everything strictly routine based. Right now, they need to a sense of security and a sense of feeling and being at their new home. If you have to move litter, food or water elsewhere, move it slowly away day by day.0 -
I'd give them a couple of cardboard boxes (or risk cat beds but they may not use them). They'll like having somewhere of their own to sit/hide/sleep in. Some toys like ping pong balls (cheaper than the cat balls) that they can chase after. And simple things like shoe lace/ribbon. I've never had a flap because I like to know where my (and the neighbourhood) cats are.
Best of luck.
I love having kittens and you'll have 2 wonder 2 addtions to the family to enjoy!0 -
Thanks all.
We never really wanted to feed them Whiskas Kitten food, we just wanted to feed them what they were used to while they made the transition to living with us. I always wanted to get them on something like Bozita. Do have reservations about ordering a multi-pack of Bozita though, as if things follow their current trend they will eat it for one meal and then never touch it again.
They never hide, they follow us around all the time and it seems they don't like to not be in the same room as us. Although they are fine when we put them to bed at night and leave them downstairs together. Really they are little angels, I just wish they would eat the same food more than once! They look at me with those big eyes as if pleading with me to feed them and then take one sniff of whatever I've put down before toddling off. And then they meow constantly while we eat our dinner as if to say "please, we haven't eaten for days!!" We don't give in but it still doesn't make them then go and eat their own food.
I find it strange that there is always a consensus over which food they like and which food they don't. It's never that one kitten likes one type of food and the other doesn't. It's always a mutual thing, both have a sniff, both look at each other, both toddle off in disdain.0 -
That' Cats for you!

Now why do I have glasses of water everywhere plotted all over the house?
