Argos took payment twice - Saturday 22nd October 2011

Hi

I just wanted to let all the shoppers out there know that Argos took Debit / Credit card payments made either in store, online or via banking twice on Saturday 22nd October.

Please check your bank account and let me know if others have had this happen to them too!! I had £400 took from my account twice!

this is bad, juest let them know and they will refund the second charge.

this does not mean it has happened to others and most likely has not.

Hi

When I rang the customer service they told me it had happened to everyone paying with debit or credit card. Not sure if it has? But just wanted others to be aware and check their statements. If it was for a small amount then I probably wouldn't have noticed!!

I have let them know and they have reolved it, albeit to late as the mortgage money was not all there to be paid!

If every single customer had been billed twice I am sure it would have been in the media.

Probably isolated to a single customer or store I guess.
