Can Price Be Changed After Paypal Checkout

I attended a webinar last week and at the end of it we were invited to attend 4 further webinars and the screen showed $77 and we were given a link to buy. Then the presenter asked his programmer to change paypal from the $1 trial. Like others my $1 payment was accepted by paypal and the presenter said "I THINK THOSE GUYS THAT ACTUALLY PURCHASED THIS FOR $1 THAT MUST BE THE BEST $1 THEY'VE ACTUALLY SPENT THAT MUST BE SOME HELL OF A DEAL EVEN HALLOWEEN OVER EVEN BLACK FRIDAY BUT COME ON GUYS YOU CAN'T COMPLAIN"
Now they have refunded the $1 and want $77 to attend.
I thought they had to abide by the price taken at time of checkout. Can anyone tell me my legal position here please.

Given that its taken in $ (USD i presume?)..........what country do the terms and conditions come from?
Really depends on the T&C's and when they say a contract is formed. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -

Thanks they are based in Canada and charged in USA $
I would have expected a contact to be formed as soon as the payment was accepted from my payal account, would this not be correct.0 -

Not always no. Depends when contract is formed.
With them being in Canada though, UK law probably wont apply. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
I am not sure if you can hold them to that or not, but conversely I don't think they can hold you liable to pay $77 for it. I would just tell them you are no longer interested at that price and walk away.0
