Another Civil Enforcement Ltd Notice
Milton_Keynes_Mum
Hi, i'd appreciate some advice here. I parked for marginally over the 2 hour period in a Civil Enforcement controlled car park. I knew i was taking a risk, but i was stuck for somewhere to park and i reckoned i'd take a chance on being around 10 minutes over. Hands up, i saw the signs and and i parked there anyway.
I've read hundreds of posts on this company and the advice to ignore everything, but I am self employed, my car is logo'd and i had parked for my job, so the usual defence advised that it might not have been me driving would be pretty lame.
However, I believe that the timings that they have put on the letter are wrong - i had to run to my appointment and ran back to the car (30 yards away) afterwards. I feel i ought to challenge their timings and therefore the validity of the notice. What should i do??? ignore completely or challenge them?
thanks for any advice

Explain how you plan to challenge a scammer ?
It is their game you will be playing, they make up all the rules and they decide who wins.
Now why do you think will win ?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Why waste your time? You will get a blank.county claim form from them in the post to scare you.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

Was it a free car-park by any chance?
If so there is no loss suffered by the landowner. If it was a Pay & Display car-park than the landowner would have lost whatever one sixth of the hourly P&D rate is.0 -
I recieved a letter from this company today saying I had to pay a parking contravention fine. Fair enough if I hadnt bought a ticket, but the annoying thing is I had actually put my reg number in their machine and bought a ticket! They say they have photographic evidence but I have to pay £10!
After two weeks I dont have the ticket as proof.
Should I just ignore their letters.
I am in scotland.0 -

Do not pay 10p let alone £10! Ignore it completely.
Makes no difference that you are in Scotland, it's still just a scam. This thread is one of THOUSANDS on the subject on this forum.
As I said, just ignore it of course. It's not a fine.
Read the stickies at the top of the forum, check out 'PPC letters, what to expect' and 'welcome, please read before posting' at the top. Watch the Watchdog clip linked there.
Tis a scam and you must not respond to the scammer company. Do not even THINK about 'appealing' (as if they are going to allow any, LOL, think about it!!). This is a private, profit-making company with no requirement for any appeals procedure. It's only there to fool you into believing it's a real ticket, and to gather information.
Read the stickies (info threads at the top of this sub-forum); all is explained. See my signature for the part of the 'Home > Forums > etc...' link-chain to click on at the top of the page. You will see the current threads, not just this one. Stickies are at the top, start there.
Nothing happens to your credit rating when you ignore a con-merchant like a PPC.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Funnily enough it was in Greenock at the Oakmall! Has anyone ever asked for the photographic evidence.
I was standing about 3 meters away from my car buying my ticket, I then put the ticket on the dashboard, went shopping for 15 mins then went home. It would be interesting to see what evidence they have! Was it when I was standing buying my ticket??0
