in Credit cards
Hi, after opening up a new bank account with hsbc I proceeded to change the direct debit on my (vanquis) credit cart to use the new bank, only to find that the whole time they have been taking the money out of my old account (santander) and leaving me with £150 in overdraft fees!
Do i have a legal leg to stand on here or can i kiss my £150 bye bye?

when did you change your DD?
what does your statement say about your diredt debit0 -
The direct debit was changed in august, and as far as i know vanquis do not show direct debits in the online statement only debit card payments .0

Quick update, i have phoned the consumer advice helpline run by the government and they have suggested i write a letter to vanquis complaints department. If they have not replied in 8 weeks i have been advised to then contact the financial ombudsman0

Unfortunately you have a responsibility to ensure all the direct debits are cancelled on your old account.
You clearly hadn't done this.
This will affect your chances of winning a complaint.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48
