Best card advice

Hi,

I currently have one credit card which I only use for business expenses. My company reimburses me straight back into the credit card so it is always paid off in full, however, sometimes there is a delay in them paying and I get charged interest.

Does anyone know of a card that has an interest free period on everything, that isn't just a promotion and hangs around forever? I'm sure I had a card years ago that didn't start charging me interest for 51 days or something after each purchase. This would be ideal.

Thanks!

All credit cards have an interest free period for purchases if you clear the card in full each month. If you pay the full statement amount but have used the card in between the statement date and the date you make payment then you are not actually clearing it in full and thats why you are being charged interest. To make this work you need another card with a statement date 15 days after the one you already have to use from the statement date of the 1st card, until full payment is shown in the account of the 1st card. Then revert back to using the 1st card.
  • Hmmmm, thanks. I'd rather have one card with a number of days of free interest after each purchase. The method you've described sounds like a PITA! Thanks for the reply though.

you probably have got one card already that deoesnt charge interest for UP TO 51 days from date of purchase. eg, if you get a new statement, and balance is zero, then go out and buy something on the card the next day, you will not be charged interest on it until after the payment due date shown on the next statement. so long as that purchase is cleared in full by the due date you will not be charged interest. the only way to get what you described is to have 2 cards and use for 15 days each (by rotation) and rinse them (pay in full) when the statement comes in
