E.ON RHT EnergyPlan 25 not on comparison sites

I want to compare tariffs but the 3 comparison sites I've tried (energyhelpline, moneysupermarket and uswitch) don't list my Eon tariff. Any suggestions please? Thanks.

    Hi richardlund

Restricted Hour Tariff (RHT) meters are a bit of a hybrid set up.

RHT meters provide electricity at a cheaper rate at certain off peak times during every 24 hours for things like storage heating and under floor heating.

Customers on these systems usually, but not always, have two single rate meters using a time switch to switch between the two.

One meter records normal usage for things like lighting, dishwashers, washing machines etc. Whilst the second is for off peak usage for storage heaters, water heating etc.

The times the off peak rates are active will depend on the region and the metering set up at individual properties.

As such, these meters are set up on a specific tariff with lower rates for usage going through the RHT meter.

For maximum benefit, you need to make sure your water/heating appliances are timed to come on during the off peak times.

Because of the restricted nature of these meters, I'm afraid the plan you're currently on is the only one we have available. Also, they don't appear on the comparison sites.

Therefore, you'll need to do a manual comparison by contacting the other suppliers individually to see what rates they offer for these meters.

Hope this gives a bit of an insight into your metering set up richardlund. Give me a shout if you need any more info as will be happy to help.
