Dixons Damaged Washing Machine

Hi
Dixons on line delivered an Indesit Washing machine Monday.
Once unwrapped I discovered it had been dropped on the front right hand corner and was damaged.
Phoned Dixons and was told to ring another number to get a right off number and then call then back. So that's three calls to an 0844 number. Phoned the number and ended up talking to somebody at Indersit. I was given a right off number and phoned Dixons back and passed it on. Was promised a call back but nothing happened.
Phoned the 0844 number and was told somebody would call back which they did. Guess what they said we need to get a right off number. I said I have one. They said we need to ring Indesit and check it. They did not phone back so I called the 0844 number again. This time was told they had stock but computer system was playing up and they would call me back. Guess what no call yet.
So two days later and numerous calls to 0844 numbers and I am no further forward.
The bottom of their e-mails claim "Straitforward returns"
Yeah right.
Any ideas?
