Latest quote for car insurance from current insurer, £446. Got my 300 Tesco points & a quote from them of £393. Phoned my current insurer who beat Tescos quote by £1 thus saving me £53 & I can pay quarterly with no extra charges:j

Just tried to get a quote as car insurance due soon and to get the 300 tesco points and after filling everything in says "
An Unexpected Error Has Occurred


We're currently experiencing a technical problem, please try again"

Anyone else getting that?

I haven't had the error message, but it keeps freezing on the second page and not letting me go any further.
I did wonder if everyone getting the mse email had overwhelmed the site a bit - I'm going to try again later.

Edit - switched to google chrome and it worked fine. Obviously doesn't like internet explorer.

& I get "this postcode not found" - when every other similar thing I have used online for 10 years has no problems with us !

Hi all

I have got to the part where the "BUY NOW" button is but not been asked for club card number? Where do i put this? Didn't want to click buy now and suddenly agree to taking it out!

remember if you take out car insurance or already have tesco car insurance you can earn 1000 clubcard points by getting a friend to refer you, we will both then get 1000 points all i need is you to pm me you policy number, name and address along with clubcard number ill do the rest

You need to press the back button and I think it was on the first page where u put in your clubcard number.

I managed it finally yesterday. Got confirmation email of my quote so have to wait and see if they add the 300 points

I've got to the end and been asked for my club card number, but not the promotion code.

Have I missed the boat on this offer? Its only Thursday night, still the tenth??
