I am starting work on Monday (14/11/11) so called up the JC just now to sign off.
Two queries:
Q1) How long will it take to get the 'return to work' grant?
Q2) I was supposed to sign on this Monday (07/11/11). But due to a back injury I had to call in to notify them that I was unable to attend. They said I could do a postal signing, etc. I've not received anything yet however which is great cos that means a delay in payment and I really need the money (for work clothes, travel costs, general 'return to work prep', etc).
Now I am wondering, what will happen with the money?
- Will I get the normal (full) amount or will they only pay for this week? Meaning, when you sign do you get:
(a) this weeks and next weeks money
or
(b) last weeks and this weeks money

1) Usually around 3 to 4 weeks. Depends on how busy they are. Mine was handled by a department 60 miles and two counties away.
2) Ring them.0 -
My BTW payment took 3 months to reach me but I was aware that it might take some time and had a bonus payment from Working Links in the form of £50 of Tesco vouchers.0

I hope not. As I didnt sign on this Monday (still waiting for the postal signing form) I wont really have any income available for work related costs.
