It's a MAD World - EasyJet advert

Back in the mists of time there existed the MAD comic which poked fun at life. The MAD car advert went something like this - "Furd Fucus, Only $100* (*Wheels, Tyres, Engine extra)".
Well, it's official, we are in now living in a "MAD" world. I've been email an advert from EasyJet advertising flights for city breaks, quoting the ONE WAY price! So that's £1 out then is it? And £99 back?
Well to be fair I haven't looked at the return price but the scope is there to set a low outward price as the headline advert figure then make up the short fall with a more expensive return flight.
And the ASA say this is legal and it is common practice to advertise one way flights in the holiday industry.
"Wot me worry" (for those who remember MAD comics).

You also get 10% discount using the code veeblefetzer.
Use the code potrzebie on any return flight to delay take-off by 30 minutes.

What does the ad actually state though? Is it saying you can get great one way fares from just £1? If so then its not lying nor misleading you its simply stating that you can buy a ticket from A to B starting at £1."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0 -
you just get a flight back on a different day that isn't £99.0

Or it may be £1 back - it all depends on the availability and how early you book.
Book 3 months ahead on an unfashionable route at a horrible time, and you can get great deals. Book friday evening primetime to a decent destination and you're hosed.
BTW if you want to get excited about lack of clarity in flight prices, forget EasyJet and check out RyanAir who would charge you to breathe the air if they could.0 -
Easy jet (and the rest of the budget airlines) don't sell return flights, you buy 2 singles0
