How do I retrieve old credit card details

Hi,

I'm new to the forums but have been following for a while.

I'm looking for a bit of advice if someone can help please?

I had two credit cards with Vanquis, one was settled it 2007 and the other in 2008. From what I believe I had PPI added to these without my knowledge that I would like to claim back.
I wrote to Vanquis to request details of any added insurance on my cards but as I no longer have the card numbers they said they were unable to help. I called them again and one of their advisors told me that my details were probably "archived" due to the cards being settled more than 3 years ago.
Can anyone advise me on how I can trace my card details please and also if Vanquis should have found my details?

Many thanks

You can send a Subject Access Request to Vanquis along with the statutory £10 payment.

Vanquis will then have to provide you with all the information they have on you for the past six year (I presume they don't keep records any longer than six years)
  • Many thanks for that
