Best camera £60 - £80

I need to buy a camera, which needs to have a case and a memory card, for about £60-80.

I know lots of people are into cameras on here, any ideas?

Which criteria do you consider to be "best" in a camera, and which unimportant?

Small size? Big zoom? Good for low light use? Pretty? Takes AA batteries? Has a separate viewfinder? Uses microSD cards? Solid construction? 3D photo capability? Image stabilisation? Scene/face recognition?

I suppose people who are really into cameras don't look at the sub £100 price range. You need to list what is important for what you want to do with the camera. Do you want to travel, take pictures outdoors? Then pay attention to the weight of the camera. Do you want to use the camera for sports photography, children or other forms of photography in motion? Make sure that the camera has a fast shutter and speedy focusing.

More important than the number of megapixels (6 megapixles will suffice) is the quality of the lenses and I recommend using brands like Carl Zeiss (as in Nokia phones), Fuji, Leica (e.g.Lumix), Olympus, Ricoh and Schneider Kreuznach (see Samsung), though it will be hard to find decent lenses in an £80 camera.

It's not for me. I was asked about the best camera to buy for a school raffle prize, I said I didn't know, so was asked to put a thread on here to ask for advice.
