LCD pc monitor ghosting

My benQ LCD monitor is ghosting quite badly,I only use it on my home pc which hasn't had much use the last 3 or 4 months, any ideas what's causing it?

Have you tried swapping the cable &/or cleaning/reseating the plugs and sockets at each end?
By far the majority of ghosting instances that I've seen have been traced to cable/connector problems.0
