I'd say they were over-charged. Let's hope the new owners don't have the need to take it back.

There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

Well I'm hoping that the new owners realise customer service is a key part in a business and turns it around... doubt it though. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. Revenues at the loss-making Comet electrical stores fell 22% over the summer..
Probably because they treat customers as problems ?
Have you ever tried to buy from them ?
As soon as you refuse the extended warranty the staff just walk away and look for the next person to pressure sell to.
You could not give your money away in a Comet store.
If you ever do manage to get to the counter which like a passing an examination in quantum physics , they can never find anyone to serve you and take your money.
They dont even notice if you walk out.
I stood in a queue with 3 other people only last week , we all walked out after standing for an eternity, nobody cared one bit.
£2 !
I would say they paid too much.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

this smells like a 100% tax ploy as in that report is states
Kesa said it will itself invest £50m into the new holding company, and will retain liability for the Comet employees' final salary pension scheme.
so they are selling for £2 to a private equity company that they have a £50 million stake in and also are still retaining liability for the Comet employees' final salary pension scheme.0 -
