I don't know specifically about Toshiba beep codes, but generally it's not the number, but the pattern - e.g. short, long, short, long.
In some very common makes of BIOS, continuous beeping indicates memory errors. This may be simply because memory modules have been added/removed and the BIOS has not detected that properly, or it may be a faulty module.
You can test for the latter with Memtest 86+ which is a free download.
Let us know the laptop model and someone may know what BIOS is installed, but otherwise we're just guessing...0 -
could be the bios battery needs changingReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. If your reply cannot be nice, has an underlying issue, or you believe that you are God, please post in another forum. Thank you0

Also, is it doing it from cold, or only when it's been used for a while? Many have an over-temp shutdown that causes it to just sit there beeping at you.0
