Hi,

Just wondering if E-On set a minimum age for the Age UK Tariffs?

Cheers,

No, tho only proactively promoted to over 60's, is also of value if the usage for the household is low, irrespective of age. If under 60 would not be entitled to the cold weather payment the tariff offers, and some of the energy saving stuff, but the unit rates and discounts anyone can take.

Then I suggest you use a recommended comp site with her annual kWh figures-that's the only way to find out her best deal.

    Hi olgadapolga

It’s great that you’re looking into this for your Mum, comparing tariffs is a great way to get those bills down.

Airmike23 has given some great info on AgeUk already, anyone can have this plan but the main benefits are for the over 60’s.

Do you have copies of her bills to hand? There’ll be some info on there about how much she uses in a year, you can put this into one of the comparison sites and make sure she’s on the best deal for her needs.

It may be that she’s already on the best plan. Is your Mum over 60? If so, Our Caring Energy team will be able to make sure that she’s getting all the help that’s available to her.

There’s some info on Caring Energy on our website, just type it into the search box on the top right hand corner.

If she’s under 60 then it’s still worth a call, our advisors will point you in the right direction.

See how you go, if you need any help just give us a shout :)

  • I'm 63 and an Eon customer.

I phoned them up last month and they've put me on their WarmAssist scheme which gives me a 15% discount on my fuel bills (electric only as we have no main gas out in the sticks). I can't remember the full details but my electicity unit price after the high first whatever every quarter works out at less than 10p per unit, which I think is good value.
