Best school shoes are from Marks and Sparks - hard wearing and they don't seem to need cleaning!

  • Peacocks had kiddies shoes for £8 yesterday (full price) and looked pretty sturdy too.

I've bought from Tesco and Shoezone in the past and haven't been impressed at all - lasted about 2 months at the most.

A brilliant place for school shoes is the Kays factory shop at Kendal if you can get there. It's only a small outlet with a few other shops but the shoe bit is great - usually last years styles.
Also the Clarks near me (St Helens) had quite a few pairs of school shoes for £5.
I bought 3 pairs last year at £5 each in 3 increasing sizes. Looks now like her feet have stopped growing (size 7 at 13 years old) - thank goodness.

I love that place. Couldn't get in at xmas, spent 20 mins just getting back OUT of the carpark! Will visit on my next trip up to the inlaws :)
