Some of you may disagree with this being in Grabbits, but for once I don't care ...

This is the time of year when people switch their heating back on and have fires on and therefore, the time of year where you should go out and buy a carbon monoxide detector asap (or if you already have one, then check it)
It is one of those items people always say they will go out and buy and forget ... don't forget this year.
People here have probably saved hundreds of pounds over the years so use some of the money saved in buying a carbon monoxide detector.
You can't see it, you can't taste it, you can't smell it ... it is known as the 'Silent Killer'!
I've not got a link or a deal ... just go out and buy one from your closest outlet. They all do the same thing, they SAVE YOUR LIFE.
I have posted in Grabbits as it is the most popular board on MSE
Don't forget to tell your families x

Why do some people think they've a god given right to post anywhere they like and completely disregard the rules.0 -
Good reminder thankyou.
Oh, I am glad sirbrainy has a crystal ball and can see that he himself will never ever be out of work or be ill, or disabled in any way. Im also releived that sirbrainy also has no family or friends who have ever been affliced with unemployment (for whatever reason), or that he has a loved one who is claiming any form of DLA or whatever those benefits are called.:beer:0 -
Please also note that these have to be installed with new heating systems now, probably new boilers too. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

Good reminder, and whilst you're at it, get a radon detector too. It's also a 'silent killer' gas and you're statistically much more likely to die from exposure to high levels of naturally occuring radon than carbon monoxide poisoning (over 2000 deaths per year vs 4 from carbon monoxide in 2010 / 17 in 2009).0
