Cheap break ideas needed

Hi everyone,
Need a bit of advice pls, me and other half and dd (aged 4) are looking to get away for a few days, preferably from mon 30th april to fri 4th may... could be for those whole dates or shorter.. We have to go this week as time off etc booked , and we are on a tight budget.. any good ideas from anyone out there ? Have tried searching myself but havent come up with alot, also we we havent got a car at the mo.. so would need to be by train , plane, but not automobile :rotfl: , we are in devon so anywhere except there.. can anyone help
