Cloud 9 or crumb rubber underlay for stairs?

We are carpeting our lounge, stairs and landing and realise we can get the underlay cheaper for ourselves online.
Many people recommend Cloud 9 but I also read that stairs underlay should be crumb rubber to make the carpet last longer.
Does this mean I should buy 2 sorts of underlay - Cloud 9 for living room and landing, and crumb rubber for stairs?
Many thanks

If you don't want comfort on stairs, and want something that will take the most punishment and give the carpet a long life you'd go for crumb rubber.0

We have high density crumb on stairs and upper landing. It wears well but doesn't give you that springy feeling that thick waffle underlay will. Cloud 9 is just a brand name as far as I am aware also so look at what thickness underlay you can have and get thickest. It will make pretty much any carpet feel more luxurious.
Definitely cheaper online but maybe get carpet retailer to price match if they will. Downside of online is delivery can be expensive as its very heavy0 -
I used 11mm cloud 9 underlay in my whole top floor inc stairs, stair carpet hasn't warn so well being on that sort of depth!!0
