    Go and ask on the Old Style board...they have TONNES on batch cooking, freezing, frugal cooking and recipes!

    can't believe no one has mentioned slow cookers yet! the best piece of kitchen equipment I've ever owned they're so cheap to run, you can make hearty decent meals in them with next to no effort - perfect for students!
