i went part time about 3 years ago and yes i have been paying NI continuously for 5 years i dont remember if i paid NI in the job before that.
i dont have care or mobility needs i dont think.Everything is always better after a cup of tea0 -

So long as you have paid full class 1 NI contributions (the type you pay as standard when employed over a certain minimum level of wage) from jan 2009-10 and jan 2010-11 you should be entitled to contributions based ESA if you get a fit note from your GP, ESA is paid at the same rate as JSA for the first 13 weeks and than you have the dreaded work caperbility assessment, if you pass you go into on of two group, the WRAG or support group which are both paid at a higher rate.

The correct years are the tax years 08/09 and 09/10.0 -
You would have to lower your IVA payments.
If you did claim benefits they wont take your debts into consideration.0 -

Yes, thank you for correcting me I was distracted and not paying my full attention to what i was posting and I wouldnt like to give the OP the wrong information.
