BC have been able to make an arrangement with me that certainly takes off the pressure and aleviates any worry of charges or more knocks to my credit rating. Once again an apology was made for how their service had dealt with me to date.

    Not having the greatest of faith in BC I was taken aback by this as for some reason the difficulties up to this point had suggested nothing would or could be done to help......but the conversation on monday with BC proved that to be very far from the truth. I may have had to make a bit of a fuss to reach the right spot but I can honestly say they have now dealt with me in a way that I am more than happy with!!

    Oh and just to really catch me off guard I received another call from BC later on monday from the office of the big-wig, as Martin calls him, checkiong that I had been contacted as promised and dealt with an also enquiring as to how I was feeling!!

    Well done BarclayCard! It has all restored a lot of faith in me.

    Brilliant news. However I find with BC if they have not a standard email or standard letter to cover your enquiry they just go to peaces. Why did you have to go all through this and why could the matter have not been resolved the first time you called them. Ok big on Mr Bigwig but it is still very poor customer relations. Pleased for you but very displeased with BC.

    :confused: I have just reached the point where an agreement mentioned in previous postings has come to something of an end.

    The deal was due to my situation of being seriously ill that they would freeze my interest for two months and I wouldnt have to make a payment until my April payment was due.Since then (jan) I have received usual monthly statments asking for payment! when I enquired about his it took 3 calls and a further 40 mins on phone for someone to look into this. The person who set up the short-term agreement with me then called me an said not to worry about the statements and that they were just drawn up automatically by the billing dept.

    I rang BC on Mon as I know my payments are due on the 5th of the month, I had previously been told they would contact me to go over this in April but thought I had better get in first so no rush to sort anything out if I was able to resume normal service........the first two people I spoke to said there was no such agreement and had no idea what I was on about! then on Tues I spoke to someone on a number that was sent to me with a later from person that originally arranged this agreement. This person said yes he could see that interest had been frozen but that on 5th April I would have to pay more than just that months payments and that I would have to make up for the ones I had missed!!! these payments had been missed on their say so to help me at a time of crisis and at no point had anyone said to me that come the very first day of normal account resuming I would have to pay those amounts back there an then!! I was going to struggle to find the normal payment as I am still at the moment not allowed to work under the hositals orders but I was prepared to try an borrow this from someone as BC had seemed to help, but now with them wanting these missed payments too its impossible! and to top it all the gentleman informed me that he couldnt find existence of the person that had set up this so called agreement and written to me!! so it seems that BC are telling me that someone I spoke to twice on phone doesn't exist and I was also told that the missed payments (part for feb an all of March) would also show against credit rating which was the very thing I was trying to avoid in first place by trying to get help out of them.

    BC it seems have made what looked like a helpful plan but once you blow away the dust an see the truth you find you have been strung along. Everyone expects to pay what they owe but the way they go about it is disgusting and has caused me great concern and worry AGAIN!! :mad:
  • Hi, did you get the names and dates of the people you had spoken to you in your previous posts?

    Sorry to hear you have been let down by them again, lets hope Martin may read your thread again.

    Yes I have them, I have written to the BC bigwig on here but no reply yet, but to be fair the mechanics of BC are not down to him. I have the name of the lady that spoke to me and wrote to me, but this is the one who I'm being told they cant find anywhere!

    And as for poor Martin I think he has plenty to do as it is! he did read before an put me on to the BC bigwig but I dont really want to pester again now especially as I write such long winded posts at moment it kind of makes it hard for others who are busy to read.

    Just wanted to scream in a way I guess cos this has all really got to me an let me down.
