On the positive side, the supermarket shop came to a total of £87 (£45 Aldi and £42 Mr T). There are enough meals for a week and some of them will be batch cooks so a few freezer meals. It's usually over £100, so I guess it's some sort of progress.0

Yay - boots arrived, very nice indeed. The style is "Petworth" and made by Dune - bought in Debenhams with handy 20% discount code. So, compared to the Clarks version I ended up saving £20 or so.
I've given them a quick spray to protect them and hopefully will leave the house at some point so that I can actually wear them!0 -
I've subscribed to the BBC good food website (heavily influenced by all of the yummy things on fortunes diary).... I've popped a few things in my binder and tonight were having chorizo and pork belly with haricot beans. Never had it before so not batch cooking, however, there should be enough for 2 meals.
Padding out a bit with some new potatoes and bread rolls. Smells yummy.0 -
And, the dinner was lovely. Plenty left for another dinner..... Will pop it in the freezer later.
Had some cash back from a flight confirm in quidco, will OP once it's been received.0 -
Hi Lula and Fortune, I didn't realise you could subscribe to the BBC GF site, so thanks. I've saved 19 meals for my February plan :j

I watched the confessions of a shopaholic movie last night and there were some very funny little bits in it.
A few of the things reminded me of how I sometimes justify a purchase to myself and my thread!
Also loved the CC in the ice... Still thinking that this is a great idea, although for the time being it is tucked away in DH's wallet, seemingly safe and sound.
DH is at work today, so just me and the little monkeys. They are already shouting at each other and ds2 is doing his usual whinging as he totters around the house.
We had a little scattering of snow last night but nothing drastic.0 -
Will you be able to wear the new boots?
I'm going to the gym thing this morning, then will have a cupboard/freezer/fridge reckie this afternoon in conjunction with BBC GF. I'm also def making the potato/tomatoes/cheese layer recipe today though:)February13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)
