OK, I couldn't help myself. It was vital to have some suede wedge ankle boots. However, the discount on Clarks was no longer available and the cashback had dropped.....
So, long story short, found some made by Dune, priced at £85. Managed to find them on the Debenhams website and after a little bit of searching around, found a code for 20% discount. Plus free delivery and 3% cash back.
Still very naughty, but in a money saving way!!!!0 -
Well, this whole snow thing is getting a bit tedious. Everything is finally getting back to normal and then i looked out of the window earlier and it is like a blizzard outside. Arrgghhh!0

I need to be really good now and save the spending money..... So, no more bags for me. Or shoes. Or coats. Or jeans. Or tops. Or jewellery for my bags. :rotfl:[/QUOTE]lulabelle1 wrote: »OK, I couldn't help myself. It was vital to have some suede wedge ankle boots.

Hey Natty. I've come to the conclusion that I'm a lost cause......
Still waiting for the ankle boots to arrive, perhaps they will be here tomorrow.
I have given DH my credit card for safe keeping - although having booked the holiday flights and accommodation on there, there doesn't appear to me much credit left on it. It will all be paid in Feb but in the mean time I will have no choice but to be good.
Trouble is, I've started saving (as well as overpaying) and I find the savings just so tempting. Every time I log on to my online banking the savings pots just kind of shout at me and tease me and I start thinking of the things I could treat myself to.
The good thing about just throwing it all at the mortgage is that at least it's not hanging around to tempt me.
As a grown woman I realise I should be able to handle the temptation a little better, but as I said I'm a lost cause.
Tbh, DH is no better. He's gone food shopping tonight and just text me to say that he couldn't help himself but he went in to next on his way in to Aldi and bought the boys new pants and socks and a jumper each. To be fair they are much needed, but you get the idea.0 -
Missed you too btw - have you been stupidly busy at work and the lady gym? X0

Stupidly, stupidly, stupidly busy:( at least Mr lula went to ald* and bought properly needed items. What a wee cutie:D
Hope the boots arrive tomorrow:)
PS I watched confessions of a shopaholic the other night on netflicks (well over 3 nights in total actually due to being so sleepy:D) it's the first time I've ever watched it and I thought it was hilarious:rotfl:February13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)

Thanks for the film recommendation, I shall try and watch it at some point over the next few days, sounds amusing and fit up my street.
Just finished season 2 of californication last night - sooooooo good.0 -
OMG you have never watched it ..... its a film about Lula that she doesnt even know!!!!!!
you will love it, please make sure you have a glass of wine on standby its a proper chick flick!!! i love it!!!
Lulas got me looking at hols now to , thinking Marakesh ( if thats how you spell it) all inclusive £490 each which i dontthink is to bad.
Glad Mr lula has your card, perhaps freezing it would be the next step! xDec 2011 £141,000 / dec 2013 £135,000/ Jan 2014 £131,000 / July 2014 £129 0000 -
I read the books a few years ago, I didn't even realise that there was a film, I'm definitely looking forward ton watching it.
The Marrakech All Inc sounds like a brilliant deal.....
Loving the idea of the CC being in ICE - trouble is, it's too easy to do a "money shuffle" when you have online banking. BUT, still love the ice idea, so much so, that I think I might give it a go. Sounds funny.
DH came back with the alleged pants and 1 jumper each....... 2 packs of pants each and 3 tops each. I'm returning just one jumper as the rest of the stuff is lovely and I guess they need to have some new clothes. Thankfully I have a "clothes" savings pot as of this month. It's now empty and owes me £10.
Must sort through the boys wardrobes and see what is too small and work out exactly what they need otherwise it will just be random purchases here and there and some of it probably wont be needed.0
