Madrid hotels,apartments or hostels

Hello.
I am after some help to find accommadation in Madrid for 10 nights in March 2012.
Its for 2 old adults staying in 2 x single rooms or a 2 bedroom apartment in or near to La Gran Via area. I have had a quick look on holidaylettings site and there is a few on there but as i am looking for somebody else as i am not going myself i dont want them to get there and find out they have been riped-off.
I was hoping that some of you nice people would have some good advice and recomendations for me.
