I bought this camera today.
its says on the cam 5mp and also on the box.
the camera actually has a 8mp setting. have a struck lucky?

You'll probably find if in 8MP mode it will be interpolated which isn't true 8MP its done with the software on the camera guessing what the extra pixels should be like0
