Halifax Clarity Credit Card - app processing time?

Hi

I'm just wondering how long it takes to receive this credit card from halifax once you send them the signed forms?

I was approved for it a while ago and was sent some forms to sign, but they say they didn't receive this, so i sent them again. I got the card for the cheap cash withdrawals abroad, and i'm going on holiday next monday so i'm concerned i won't get it in time.

Thanks
David.

I was pre-approved they sent the paperwork out pretty fast, but after 2 weeks and no card, rang in and was told probably lost in post! Sent out paperwork again but was advised take them in branch, this I did and the girl on the customer service desk said, I just tick this and the card will be on its way. Wish they would have said that initially
  • I received the agreement forms (for a Halifax All in One credit card) on Thursday 27th October and posted back (in the envelope provided) the same day. I received my pin number yesterday (Monday 7th Nov) but no sign of the card yet.

    Not very quick!
  • Thanks for the replies. I have just spoken to them and they're saying they haven't received the second set of signed paperwork either... even though i sent it special delivery and it's been signed for! idiots.

Yes, something wrong with their postal system, if you take the agreement in to a branch they will do something on the computer. My card was with me in about 3 days. Sorry re-read you have no paperwork!
    Very frustrating:mad:
  • I applied for the clarity on 08/07/10, got the credit card agreement to sign by 13/07/10 and the card arrived around 26/07/10 - so roughly 3 weeks in all. Yes, not very quick considering that I applied for a NW CC on 27/10/11, received my card and PIN by 07/11/11 and this included receiving and returning a signed agreement by 2nd class post.

my one card took forever to come doing via post
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
  • Ok so they've finally got the pin number out to me, but i'm a little concerned that there's only one. There's supposed to be an additional cardholder on the account so I was expecting 2 pin numbers.

Is this correct? Does an additional cardholder get a separate pin number or is there only one?

(their phonelines are closed, so i can't ask them)

Additional card will have it's own PIN, I'd expect them to turn up simultaneously...
  • ok so that's confirmed - they've ignored the additional cardholder and only processed 1 card. Totally ruined those plans, the morons.

I'm not sure what other mistakes they could have made here. It's really an achievement to handle this so badly.

I added an additional cardholder on the application and they ignored it - I had to call up after I had received the card to get the card issued. They told me that they had no record of the request!
