Oven heating problem, any ideas please?

I have a Belling DB3 oven and suddenly it has stopped heating up. The red light still lights and the fan still turns. I have replaced the element thinking that is the most likely fault but still have the same problem.

Is there anyone that may be able to offer some advice? Thanks

I don't have have a Belling oven but the only thing I can think of is a faulty thermostat.

I had the same problem in a Neff many years ago, and it was the thermostat.

Thanks for the replies, I will try that before condemning the oven the scrap heap.

Now I am stumped. I have used the 'conventional' part of the main oven and the temperature seems to be regulated, I presume by the thermostat, so now I am not sure if it is the thermostat as if it was surely it wouldnt work for the conventional part either?

I have checked the connections again and made sure they are nice and tight and it is still not working. Could anyone else have any ideas?

Just wondered if they have thermocouples. My mother's cheap Beko (don't they make Belling cookers now?) stopped working and I traced it to a faulty thermocouple - it becomes open circuit and the juice does not get through. If yours is the same then they are £6 off ebay.
