Can I take my prescription medication to Dubai?

After trolling through 100s of websites, I have found that my antidepressants Citalopram, are classed as a banned drug in Dubai.

I am travelling in the morning.......eeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkkk.........

Do I need a Dr's letter and a copy prescription please?

The FCO recommend per link below for the UAE. That said however whilst there have been a handful of horrror stories over the years in relation to the UAE and prescription or over the counter medication, it is questionable whether or not a traveller with prescription drugs in their original packaging in a quantity commensurate with the length of stay is going to have any issues.
