Shoes toes wearing after less than a day.

I bought some faux leather ankle boots on Saturday. Wore them for the first time to work. By 10.30 they had worn through on the toe. Not right through- more like it had rubbed off the top soft layer leaving webbing exposed underneath. I would post a pic but no idea how to. Am I within my rights to take them back?

I certainly would, yes!0

Yup. I'd definitely say shoes that did that are most certainly not fit for purpose.0

Surely, it would depend on what was rubbing against the toe and the nature of your work?
The retailer does have the right to examine the shoes. Whether they will or not is up to them.0
