I am so pleased to get rid of a load of wires from behind my tv!!
The system was easy to set up (Wharfedale with HDD and freeview), however I am struggling to get half of the channels. I know this is possibly my aerial, however I have a booster in the loft and a decent one externally. I live in Shropshire and the channels come straight up as Sutton Coldfield, even though the Wrekin transmitter is closer, but in the past I have been unable to get any decent signal from the Wrekin.
At the moment I have just got the DVD recorder and TV connected, but will be looking at transferring pre-recorded stuff from VHS to DVD. Is this easy to do, and is it just a case of connecting them with another scart cable?
As you can probably tell, this is the first DVD recorder I have bought and can't wait to get stuck in, but will have lots of questions for all you experts.
Thanks
Clareski

Sorry to ask again - but can anyone help me with the video and tuning questions? Complete novice to all this, was so pleased with myself for being able to plug it all in, and now I just want to start transferring my videos onto the hard drive.
Thanks0 -

Do you have a freeview/HDD/DVD recorder combo unit, and does it allow recording from the scart .. check manual..
Thanks for replying. It is a Wharfedale DVDRHD400F DVD recorder with 80GB hard drisk drive and digital freeview receiver to quote the user manual.
In the manual it states 'Source Selection - Video input source modes: Freeview, scart, front CVBS and front S-video'. Don't understand a word of this.
I was also looking at transferring both - stuff I recorded myself and also commercial videos so I can get rid of the bulky boxes.
