Hi, I'm thinking of moving to BT infinite with a 40G data limit(£35), and i was wondering how much playing PS3 on-line would eat into this.
Also has anyone had any joy haggling with BT to lower their price?
thanks

Thats a complete rip off £35 a month I presume for a 40gb limit. Thats like buying a bugatti veyron and having it limited to 30mph what would be the point.
40gb will be fine for just ps3 and everyday web browsing. Hit youtube everyday and downloads of stuff the PS3 and you'll hit it. TBH though a decent 2mb connection will be better with just a 40gb fair use policy where you won't get stung for going over (unless you do frequently).Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -
£35 sheesh, thats alot for 40gb0

I'm currently paying £38, unlimited internet+line rental+w/e and evening calls. But limited to 6 mb download, I'll get 30 mb with BT.0

great you get 30mb but your stuffed when you hit the 40gb limit thats the problem not the speed. TBH to have that sort of speed I would want to be streaming movies etc to my TV but not really any good with such a low limit.
I pay about £25 for line rental, all 01 and 02 calls anytime, caller display and internet. I get about 4mb which is acceptable but its unlimited albeit with a fair usage policy but if you occasionally go over 40gb you won't get charged. Have you checked what BT WILL charge you when you go over your 40GB as you could be in for a shock when the bill hits the mat.
Each to their own but if people don't change the companies won't and they will continually take the !!!! as they know they have you over a barrel and can impose stupidily low limits because people will still buy it. I know with that speed download I could go past the 40gb limit within hours not weeks lolEveryones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -
