Wary of being scammed? - Advice please

Hi
I've been selling on Ebay for a number of years with over 200 postive feedback (100%).
I mainly sell low value items but am selling an mp3 player with a starting price of £50.
I have a bidder with zero feedback, who has been a member for over a year and their location is only stated as United Kingdom. They also bid very early in the auction.
It could be a genuine bidder, but I am a bit wary of losing out.
If they win, how can I make sure I'm not scammed?
Thanks in advance.

Dont sell it to them and sell it somewhere else instead, like through a card in a shop window?
I would never sell anything like that through Ebay.0 -
Cancel bid and block0

Or just send it to their registered PayPal address by tracked and signed for courier like you're meant to, then PayPal will protect you0

For an item like this you should be very strict with your buyer requirements - this usualy weeds out the dodgy bidders - make sure you only allow bidders with a credit card on file and a PayPal account.
If you haven't done this I'd cancel their bid and reset your buyer requirements.0 -

I'd do what this says.
You could do what others are saying, but at the end of the day, they may be genuine. Everyone has to start somewhere.
As mentioned above, in future, change your buyer requirements if you're worried about a product0 -

I normally only block people with unpaid strikes rather than on feedback.
However i did try and reset my buyer requirements after they bid on the item to try and get it cancelled.
Luckily, the bid has now been retracted so I can start again.
Thanks everyone for your advice.0 -
Nothing wrong with 0 feedback bidders, just follow the rules and you're protected at the end of the day.
Only send to paypal confirmed address by registered post etc. Check addresses match in ebay and paypal, communicate well with the buyer as they are new at the end of the day! These are the people that generally get caught up in the action and pay more than they want to, unlike us old time ebayers who are a bit more savvy.0 -
Anyone can scam you if you don't know what you are doing- whether they have 100 feedback or 0 feedback.
It pays all sellers, even new ones to understand what they are doing and not necessarily worry just because someone with no feedback buys from them. Hi risk item + zero feedback buyer = aggro at a minimum, loss of ££ very likely.
Why chance it? Plenty more punters in the sea.0
