my daughter bought an item of clothing off ebay (was a very small packet ),,it wasn't suitable but the seller stated returns by special delivery. Do you have to stand by what they ask? ,and not use normal recorded delivery? just that the clothing was £12 and she had to pay £5.90 to send it back!
As long as you can prove delivery - any method is fine.
As stated , recorded is hit and miss - but as a general rule - if it does not fit through the letter box - there is an improved chance of a signature with signed for (recorded) , as they have to knock anyway.
But many postmen will just shove recorded items though the letterbox without a signature, if they fit.0
