They are also doing this with Microsoft Office 2007 as well
To be clear, this is only on selected PCs and laptops from manufacturers who have opted into the scheme. It doesn't apply across the board. Ask before buying0 -
Why bother with Vista at all ?
It is DefectiveByDesign
Don't rush to enslave yourselves
Vista contains built-in spyware:NSA helped Microsoft make Vista secure
Revelations about NSA's involvement in Vista's development raise concerns about possible 'back-door' access to data by the spy agency
Vista contains DRM:DRM technology is a growing problem for all computer users and, by extension, for all of society. DRM is typically used to restrict individuals' use of their own copies of published works. To enforce these restrictions, DRM software, and now hardware, monitors and controls computer users' behavior. Frequently it reports on what it sees, or cripples functionality if it believes the user has violated the terms of a copyrighted work or end user license of software or hardware.
Spread the news to all consumers. Lets not blindly walk into corporate arms.
